This remix was commissioned by WIDE OPEN CAGE for a W.O.C remix album that was never released. For this I first played tabla and added various sounds from Naing Naing first album, each one symbolizing a tabla bol (stroke), plus a few notes played on sarod, a field rec of a girl teaching me basic greatings in Lahu language and samples of tibetan monks chanting.
The weird thing about this song is that if you concentrate one virtual tabla sound (the ice cube bass or the tuned cricket for instance) other sounds go out of focus. At least it does it for me.
