Sound theme : Washing Machine but also trains
Style : Traveling epic

The looped washing machine rhythm reminded me of the sound of a train, so I started to add train whistles an so on... So you've got a second theme : a long train journey all across Asia.

Concrete instruments : Brandt BB40 and other washing machines, train sounds, train whistles, boat siren, railway track kick drum
Real/regular instruments : Santur, Sarangi, Guzheng (古筝)
Other sounds : waves at the seashore recorded in Izu, Japan, sea birds, cicadas, field rec in a chinese train station... and even a famous yellow periscope.

Years : 2008 - 2012 for this "Part 1" but there is a story before :

The first version of "Washing Machine Goes To Froggland" was started in august 2000 on the same day as "Brosse a Dance" with the help of my friend Djengo who cut the original 128 BPM loop that serves as a backbone for this piece. Thank you DJ !

In 2001 a second version was done removed the disco beat but adding a bendir rythm performed by Orhan (Tear of a Doll). This version of Washing Machine Goes to Froggland was dropped off my first album (rel. 2004) to be replaced by finished songs.

In 2008 I started it all over to make all-concrete washing machine piece.
But as we go accross asian countries local sounds were added.
