The Part 2 of my 29 minutes piece of traveling Washing Machine music consists of the sections above. As the song evolves it has incorporated real train sounds matching the washing machine rhythms. In part 1 we went through several countries (Iran, India, China), now we have crossed the sea and reached Japan.

Theme : Washing machine vs Train
Style : Traveling epic
Concrete instruments : Japanese and french washing machines, train whistles + a boat siren, various train sounds
Real/regular instruments : not much : a few No theatre drum (kodo) samples, a virtual instrument called "Lucy in the Sky", one Bollywood rhythmic sample
Other sounds : Wind (II_a), Taiko, Tendai monks shōmyō singing (II_b), japanese level crossing bell in Tokyo (2000), (II_c), melodic sidings squeaks (II_d), railways track riffs, percussion on washing machine (II_e), heavily scaled down water bubbles recorded in an empty hotel of in The Vosges (2008), bullfrogs recorded in Ko Samet, Thailand (2006).
Years : 2008 - 2021

The original loop that serves as a backbone for this piece was cut by my friend Djengo in August 2000.
