The first time I heard bullfrogs (crapauds buffles), I was wondering whether they were pigs or croaws. Mystery... Surprise! Rainy season had just arrived in Yangon... Still in 97, in Ko Pha Ngan (Thailand) I got the chance to listen to a wild and chaotic concert performed by various species of amourous frogs, sounding like organic and completely a-rhythmic techno. Bellowing bass, whirling treble... I was impressed enough to decide to make music with toad sounds.
All toad and frog sounds used here are field recording done by Naing Naing all around Myanmar, in Ko Samet (Thailand), at Angkor Wat (Cambodia) and Sri Lanka.

As first experiment of frog music Naing Naing produced a cover of Elvis Presley (2000-2002). The publisher of the original song refused to authorize this sacrilege version, so Naing Naing wrote a frog song on its own "Webbed" (2003) and happily spent another 175 sleepless hours to edit it (2004).

Apart from her voice and a few plops, all the rest are toads and frog sounds exclusively.
The lowest sounds are bullfrogs pitched down by digital process (we will ot repeat this for ice cubes, it is the same.) Built and mixed atr NN's Flying Studio mainly in Rangoon, Paris and Mizusawa (Japan).
